Assassinations that Shaped the 20th Century
Join us at the museum next Thursday at 7pm, for a talk from historian and broadcaster, Phil Carradice! Phil will talk about the impact of assassinations throughout history. We hope to see you there.

The Balloon Girl
Join us on the evening of October 16th, to hear a talk on the “first and fatal flight” of Mademoiselle Albertina, from Cardiff in 1896. The talk will be given by author and historian Rosemary Chaloner (who is also one of our volunteers).

The Battle of Jutland
Come to the museum at 7pm on September 11th for a pair of short talks from two of our excellent volunteers, Steve Griffiths and Jackie Swift.
The first talk will be on the decisive Battle of Jutland, between the Royal Navy and German Navy in 1916. The second will be on the little-known “Lumber-Jills” who provided vital forestry and tree felling services in the Second World War.
VJ Day 2025
We will be commemorating all of those lost in the Far East, India and the Pacific during WWII. There will be artefacts from the front on display across the museum.
The Amazing Gareth Jones - A Talk By His Great Nephew
Join us next Wednesday for a talk on Barrian Gareth Jones, who helped expose the Ukrainian Famine. Jones was recently brought to media attention by the 2019 Netflix film, Mr Jones. The talk will be given by his great nephew, and commemorate his hugely important work and death.
